Spreader plate.

Can any one help , using a spreader plate on the tanker it is leaving masses of slurry abouta meter wide on the outside of each bowt , lovely and thin and even right across the width but the edges it is too thick .Thanks for any help.

it probably wants the plate lowering.

The angle the slurry hits it at will make a difference, so too if it has a semi circular band in the back of it.

Some trail and error to get it better but unfortunately probably will not be perfect.

The slurry is not thick and the cone has not been cut back , i was woundering there was so much tank pressure , thanks for your thoughts , will make some adjustments next time out

Put up a picture of ur spreading plate this might help this might help someone answer your question

Looks like it needs lifting,the whole thing,major sold them with a bracket to keep them up.

The spreader plate angle is wrong, looks like it has been reversed into something and been bent down. Needs realining& lifting up so that the sh!t hits the middle of the spreader plate.

Slacken them 2 bolts and lift the plate up 2 or so inches. Trail and error on placement

In my experience if it’s been bent or backed into something throw it in the bin, never will get it sorted satisfactorily anyways.

I'd try bending it out to 90degrees again. Best way is to set digger bucket/ pallet fork on topso it can't rise then pull backwards with another loader/ digger bucket that supports/ pulls across the full width of the spreadplate.

Does it have the curved band on the underside? If it doesn't it'll never spread evenly.

There is no curved band on it , just the flat plate , looking at now it looks like the plate is set to low compared to the cone ,thanks for all your help .

Finally got out again after adjusting the splash plate as suggested all good now , thanks for your advise.
