Currently dredging the river. What’s best way of spreading?
Keeping it in same field but plenty of area to spread outside the flood plain.
There was something on a thread recently but I can’t find it now!

EA gave permission to local fishing association for the work.
It’s taken them 2 years to fulfil requirements. Only requirement left is to spread it outside flood plain.
They did asked why and reply from EA was it could increase flooding. They seem to think that underwater in the river it wasn’t in the flood plain!:scratchhead:
If we can spread it evenly it should be a benefit.

We used a excavator for canal dredgings on some low spots on pasture. You can work it when its still sloppy and brick pick as you go if needed chucking bricks in the bucket .I found a few lapwing nests while brick picking so worked around them instead of burying them .(Wrong time of year i know but its all good) :)

When we clear out our dykes and main water ways we normally spread it out level with the digger, either round the edge or in a low spot depending on the field. Once dry we go through with a rotovator to chop everything up, let it haze over then go through with the power Harrow to level. Then run the flat roll over it a couple of times.
