Spreading lime with Bunning HBD

Has anyone spread lime with a Bunning HBD spreader?

What width can these spreaders throw it to?

It is a 15ton spreader so I was only going to put about 8 / 10 ton per load in it in case the floor struggles to move it.

Where would be a good starting point for setting the vanes and the spreading hood?

Any advice appreciated!

Never spread lime with ours but plenty do. Best to speak to Ben at Bunning, very helpful.

We did it with ours, we put less than 10t in tho as the lime sat between the slats & the floor struggled to move. We had the hood positioned in the middle of the disc if that makes sense - not sure if it was right or wrong but we didn’t do loads & it did a fairly decent job. Spread width isn’t massive & will depend on how wet it is & wind etc

Can’t comment on hdb but we have spread it with a vertical beater 150hd with wide body augers think we went 9.33 meters well enough as that’s what we set gps at to go twice between ours 28m tramlines. We just put half a lorry load on at a time (10ton) tried to load it evenly and put the door up to half way and ran the bed slowly. Havnt had to do it for a couple of years as we have a more reliable lime spreading contractor now last one was always broken down and letting us down
