into overwintered ploughing on heavy land.

option 1 - spread beans on and powerharrow in.
option 2 - combi drill with Suffolk coulter.
option 3 - spring tine - then weaving tine drill.

any thoughts.

Make the most of the frost tilth. It will be horrible underneath so don't bring any of the wet stuff up. Light harrow to pull the furrows down then drill with a tine drill that puts them in 3" deep reliably. Have you ploughed it already?

If we get some decent frosts, I'll ruffle mine up with a big drag, then drill a month or so later with a tyne drill.

Drilling depth not as critical post - simazine.

If you're using Nirvana and Centium you still want them deep enough to be out of the way. No pre em = no problem, if you can keep the corvids away.

Historically we have always done option 2, and had very good results with using that method. This year we went into the untouched overwintered stubble with the Lemken Smarag and then PH Combi drilled.

As a child I remember us having one of those International Drills, exactly what we drilled with it I don't know, there are pictures of it being used behind our dualed up Ford 5000.
