Spring crops really struggling

Now third time through linseed for beetles. FFS
Really? I only drilled mine on 8th May and it was through by 14th. First whorl buds are just visible between the cotyledons and although FFS have been chewing the cotyledons I have no intention of spraying. Surely at that growth rate the linseed will outgrow the damage.

Here's a bugger now. One beetle per two plants. Plants are all there but it at what I consider the safe point which is when the rows start to look fluffy rather than needles, or like rows of wool rather than cotton.

Spring barley at 2 leaf stage here but ironically from being too wet 3 weeks ago it now needs a drink.
I would like to ring roll it to promote tillering , is that ok or would stressing it now be a problem ?
Spring beans are up ok but again need a drink. I'm concerned that if they don't get a move on they will set flowers very low on the stem and be a pain to combine.
Canary seed is up and about 3 inches tall and needs a drink.

Will be cambridge rolling some emerged spring oats this weekend. Bit of fert on this morning. Roll. Leave a week and a slug of PGR, some zinc and might have to consider something for aphids.

Cambridge rolled all my SW and it did it no harm at all, growing like the clappers, fortunately it is on wet horrible clay, it was marginal drilling it but am glad I persisted to get it all in, looks a picture. SB on the other hand could do with a drink (on brash)

I have a field I drilled some SW a week later than the rest and some has come away and the rest is just sat there, will be a glypho job I suspect, still at least we have had some bloody good pigeon shooting off it, sod the bills!!!

It's the cold for me too. Planted at least 3 weeks later than normal, and everyone told me " don't worry it'll leap away ". It looks OK, but not exactly " leaping away ".
And after 4 years of continuous rain, there must be plenty of moisture at depth, surely ?

I dunno what it is in Pembrokeshire at the moment but the hot days mean very little with these cold nights. But if a crop can catch up anywhere it is down here.

Anything with a good root system ie winter crops is loving it and low disease too
