slight change of plan, beans in yesterday afternoon ,went well had a broken land drain to avoid maybe 20sq yards so will live with that. On now with sp barley after a 10mile move this morning with another 15 mile move after lunch and hopefully 12 mile home before bed just over 100 acres in 3 blocks ,roller following round 24hr later then another off block to do not yet decided wether to plough or sow through recently roundupped stubble as its relatively light land as an experiment or if weather with us might do half and half im loath to give the plough up its always allowed us to get a crop and riding round some but not all of the "scratched "ww looks awful too many thin bare patches for my liking
You have a plan!!

SB and SOats ( 500 ac ish ) finished on Sunday, 2 days before we started last year
I’m never too worried about early spring drilling but conditions were good in the first week of March and most went in then and started to emerge a couple of days ago
Had an Avatar demo and if I’d have been all DD this spring I would have more than likely started on Saturday

No spring drilling here other than maize this year. Just getting some pig slurry on today. Sheep still eating turnips on half the acreage .
what sort of margin do spring beans leave these days ?

Going Winters to be different!!! Having seen next doors wheat after Spring Beans, looks an absolute picture. First time I have ever grown them, remember we used to when I was a nipper, bulk of them went in Nov/Dec but had some seed left over so banged them in

Will probably wait until next week to drill the peas and then another week before linseed and quinoa. All weather dependant of course.

teslacoils, you are it seems a braver man than me if its power harrowed might go overnight if it really needs leaving as we did with some last night and may do tonight due to a minor breakdown and lads wanting to knock off before midnight, just cant get staff these days with a work ethic .ho ho . As usual our chaps have and are going above and beyond and we could be sown up by lunchtime tommorrow some would be better rolled but if it rains in the next 48 hrs wont matter either way mindst you youve p---- on my matches as thought we had done a grand job sowing some new sp beans first time in 25 years

In the middle.
I put some spring beans in yesterday which went well with the mzuri but that was on some nice dirt. Spring barley and triticale to go in back at home and it's just not quite fit yet. Got a bit of muck on one field today but it's all a bit tender still.
