Staff training vs cow productivity is there a link?

More like staff retention and cow productivity. Work on soft skills first imo.
The debate at the moment is do you invest in staff training to insure staff retention, Im finding the farms that lack team meetings and the want to better their staff are the farms with a higher staff turn over. Its a catch 22 do you invest in a person to better your business 🤷‍♀️

Marion Beecher at Teagasc, did an excellent report/paper on the subject, I went on an NZ trip with Marion so you might want to look it up.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
