Stainless steal cleaning

Does any one have any recommendations for cleaning stainless steel? External areas only, tank wash troughs etc.

Some Dairy time soap + Hypo would work

There is a stainless polish available if you are realy keen Diversey Suma Inox D7.

On a related issue does anyone have fixed steam cleaner and if so what have you used to create access points at various locations where you fix your hose and lance?

If you need to clean off rust spots from working with mild steel on tools nearby, or using tools from mild steel on stainless, then the best is hydrofluoric acid paste, which is used to clean up welds in stainless. If you do, take great care with ppe as it is nasty stuff - eats skin and eyes.

Here is a before & after pic . paint on pickling paste, leave for 10 minutes, rinse off with plenty water , scrub with an alkaline cleaner (D60 in water ) then flush again

Pasteuriser?
If so, we prefer butterfly valves which have no dead areas for cleaning

I remember being told not to put bleach or hypo near stainless steel welds as it discolours them? Made no sense to me as all dairy gear must be stainless and cleaned with hypo?

2" Tank ones are butterfly. .
You may be right, we will watch these carefully. If they are problamatic , not a big job to replace with butterfly
