Hi, Just wondered what people are paying for standing grass for haymaking? We are in Herefordshire. Thanks

All depends on the fields and the grass i agree but theres alot trying to find grass to sell the hay . Plenty of horsey folks wanting hay in the winter driving demand more so than farmers, although hay through a straw chopper for bedding is looking likely on many farms this winter tooFrom being free to Ā£20 an acre down here.
Depends on how many thistles and what size of field!

Yes horse trade is very strong, quality horses are worth a fortune.Horse numbers are declining in this area. The costs of Livery are taking their toll on those with a lower income.
Oddly the price of good horses have increased but probably because those that can afford them want better animals.
