You know that old saying about the best way to make a small fortune being to start with a large one? I can't think of any current faster way to lose money than putting it into pigs. Investing in land is one thing. Spending it on sure-fire money-losers is quite another. With feed (grain) prices the way they are, the market already oversupplied, and even the added-value niches such as speciality sausages already saturated as someone said above, it's hard to see this being a good investment.
