Stealing food to solve the food crisis.

About 95% of UK car "owners" these days.

In fact, most people driving cars under 5 years old never own them, they just lease them. Retail garages are really finance businesses these days, cars are just the hook they use to get you to take the finance.

Dad commented a few years ago that our congestion problem would cease overnight if they took all the cars off the road that weren't fully paid for!
Do people who lease cars long term are actually shafting themselves???
And I used to work for a car hire/lease company in the UK...😆😆😆

I propose additional rates of VAT on luxury goods. This money will be used to build and equip new prisons. All in favour say aye.

More to the point, if you are genuinely and seriously unable to afford food. Go to a food bank. There is categorically no need to steal food. I have spoken with people who have been genuinely homeless, starving and vulnerable before. In any major city, the only thing they need to do is go to any fast food outlet and ask if there is any left overs. 99% of the time they will be fed, and fed well, too. Pizza houses, kebab shops and Indian restaurants, especially any with owners or staff who are Islamic will unconditionally fed anyone in need, no questions asked because it is part of their beliefs. Heard it many many times. Stories like these restore ones faith in humanity. I understand even supermarkets will give away nearly expired produce because it saves them paying to dispose of it.

I would do my best to feed anyone pitching up at my door hungry. Similarly, I think hospitals and even care homes etc will do their level best to provide for people in need.

This reminds me of a girl from Argentina who stayed with us on an exchange. She was from quite a well to do farming family, big cattle ranch. Her parents had a holiday house in the Andes where they would spend the summer. We got talking about crime one day and she said in South America, your house doesn’t get burgled, it gets stolen. When we asked what she meant she said that they turned up one summer for their annual trip to find a concrete pad where the house once stood, they’d literally stolen everything.
I went on a course with someone from Brazil, I asked Carlos why he had emigrated to the UK, and he said Brazil was so lawless, he didn't want his sons to grow up there. Someone else told me, when she worked in Brazil, it wasn't safe to stop at traffic lights in the city when they were on red at night, as the car would get carjacked, you had to blow your horn to warn other drivers and run the red light!

Who the feck buys a car on finance???!!!
I'd rather own a Mk3 Cortina than have a wanky Audi/BMW/MB, ffs people need to get their financial priorities sorted out.
FFS my daily driver is 37 years old!!!
Modern folks have the car, sofa, kitchen, oven , dishwasher, washing machine , new teeth, pets and holidays on finance along with mortgage! Debt is a way of having everything they want now rather than as they can upscale and afford it
