so have a greenstar ready tractor and autotrac combine. to switch greenstar onto tractor and make it self steer I need a steering wheel controller? correct? any advice or suggestions?
There's a difference between Greenstar ready and Autotrac ready. I think Greenstar ready means the wiring looms are in place on the cab pillars & roof. Autotrac ready means the steering valves are in place as well.
Just upgraded the atu on our Bateman from the John Deere atu 200 to the new atu 300, it’s a massive leap forward. Much less noisy, quicker to pick up lines, less movement left and right and also it has a calibration mode as apprised to fiddling with settings as you go on the atu 200. It’s pretty close to an integrated system.
As you would be using it on JD machines it would be much quicker to swap over between machines.
