Not a clue, In the Forest of Bowland (Joke no trees for miles) miles from anywhere with only the farm which the wall belonged to in sight albeit miles away. Pleased it was a nice day as it was very exposed.

That wall is about the most exposed spot on the farm, they were at it most of the winter and if there was a wet windy miserable sort of day that was the day they'd be there none stop from dawn to dark!

coble it up as they say slang for stacking them in a long ramp, quick but leaves alot of running joints, still walls up and as long as its got plenty of batter on it. Wants to be cheaper by the meter mind.
Have some rounded beck stones on a bit of land i took on, biggish stones.. if one stone falls out cause of a tree, or you take one out, stand back because the whole lot can slide out in front of your face just gonna put a gap up half an hour before tea and ..do do do da doooo.. shet! 2 hours later

@Jackson4. I remember the wall at the new Vets place being built. I looked at this for a long time and realised that I wouldn't even be able to make a start let alone make a repair!

Doesn't look like much now but that is 6 weeks work. For some scale that tunnel is 8 foot diameter, all rebuilt from scratch. Don't usually use mortar but needed it in there due to the force of the water
