Storth slurry pump rubber seal.

Got to replace the rubber seal around shaft on the slurry pump first time after 13 years of use. Just managed to pick up replacement before close of play on Fri. Could do with using any tomorrow but can use tanker if need be. Just wondering where to take the propeller off from. Bolts are going to take some work so rather get it right first time. TIA

Don't think you take the prop off. Never done it, but surely it's the reason for it being flat.

If it's the same as a Primex, (same maker) take the bottom plate off, gearbox and upper bearing (replace this bearing aswell) off, slide the impeller complete with shaft out the bottom, there might be a sleeve tack welded to the shaft where the rubber bearing runs on, this sleeve wears before the rubber, if the sleeve is OK fit the rubber bearing an reassemble.

Plenty of heat on them bottom plate nuts before you even start trying to loosen them or you'll just round the top or they will snap!! Got one exactly the same and our propeller broke off the shaft beginning of winter!! It is 28yr old it's been a good pump

What as in bolts worn and rounded? Mine is worn but with heat they come loose with good monkey grips

Weld a bolt on what's left and slacken and tighten when it's hot.
