straight pipes...... on adblue tractors? is it possible?

At the risk of sounding like a generic 19 year old boy racer type, (I am 34....) is it do-able to fit a open/straight pipe to adblue tractors? We've got a 724, that's a very nice tractor etc but it sounds like a prius compared to our 820. Now I realise everything is designed and manufactured for a reason but has anyone done it? Or even is it possible due to a requirement for a amount of back pressure for the adblue system to work or any other reason?

I cannot fathom why mainly boy racers fit noisy resonators on their car exhaust. A sign of quality is 'refinement' not 'noise'.
Give me a completely noiseless engine any day. The main drawback and thing I dislike about my 5445 tractor with Perkins common-rail engine is the dreadfully loud exhaust. One fine day, when this pipe gets bent by a sturdy tree branch, I'll replace the pipe with one from a 6455, which has a proper silencer.

Can I quieten my 5460 tier 2??

There is still a massive ammount of wasted energy going out of a quite exhaust. Just by altering the exhaust after the SCR the sound could still be altered for tone and volume.

Rembering back to college days, I welded up a friends cherry bomb to fit different car. Afterwards we went and sliped it over the tailpipes of mine and another mates car and were surprised just how much effect it had on the end of a standard exhaust system. You can only polish a turd so much though and an old 4 pot banger with a cherry bomb still doesn't sound like a high performance car. Could be worse a friend used to put water in his moped silence to make it sound better.

You modern boys are spoilt with all these 200 pluss hp tractors
You had to listen to an engine crackle to now when to drop a cog or feed a new one in
You lot now just stick it in drive forward and let the black box of crap do all the work
There are drivers and screw drivers
And there always will be i am afraid
There is nout like the rasp of a good engine throbin or crackling away

The old crash gearboxes you'd need the noise to know when to have a go at a change up or down.

I would think it should work fine for you .........

Oh, did you post pictures in the trucking thread?
Would be nice to see both, especially the ERF, though to be honest I have a weak spot for old Volvo's.

Never an F88, maybe an old flat top F12?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
