Hello there. I recently noticed a strange and worrying rattling sound coming from my PTO on Fiat 110-90 tractor. The sound is only present at very low speeds and the disappears partly or entirely when reving up.
When just turning the pto shaft without the pto engaged there is no noise or resistance and the shaft turns smoothly and firmly. It’s when the pto is engaged that the sound comes.
One fiat owner told me he’s come across many Fiat tractors that make sounds in the pto but I just have to get a second opinion. Anyone our there with experience and knowledge with these kinds of machines? Is this something to worry about? Do I need to dismantle the back end and change some gears or bearings?
thanks for all the help I can get here.
