I have a taarup Straw blower. This u bolt has broke. It's for the floor chains.

Is this a standard thing one can buy in a hardware shop or is it a genuine piece only? Anyone hardly have the part number?

Strangely I just broke one on a teagle on Saturday, never happened before. Had to wait till today to phone them but parts on the shelf. So would recon your local taarup dealer should have some in stock if he's worth his salt.

If it’s like the Lucas g ones then it’ll be a special u bolt but don’t they also have a flat bone shaped link that goes between the slat and the chain.? They support the shape of the u bolt and prevent it trying to flex open…… which cracks them on the bend of the u.

I know the early ones were 8mm thread and they upped them to 10 because they were breaking. They're still twice as strong as the McHale ones, they recommend in the book to replace them all once a year 😳

KD 1520055. Same part number is used for old taarup and newer kverneland
