Thinking of getting a cordless set, what brand you running? Any good?

Mine are longhorn razor. They are ok but get hot in the hand. I got to send mine back fir replacement.

I think you can get unbranded clippers the same on eBay for less.

What’s the main reason behind shearing later. Thought I was a bit early on ours last year but do seem to get strike earlier nowadays.

What’s the first symptom of fly strike that you notice when looking sheep?
I ask because I’ve got half a dozen tups on a grass park behind the house and I’m trying to keep an eye on them.

edit quoted wrong message  ...this is FAO PSQ:)

quite often turn their heads back and nibble as if trying to get something

set away from group miserable.....possibly rubbing agin fence or something

run around then stop...stamp feet...agitated.......though heat can make them do this also

shortage of shearers early , is reason , so some using crovect to take pressure off getting them fitted in with the gangs,
im more worried loosing them on backs when we get a shower , though landlords are walking daily keeping eye out , im not doing lactating ewes yet could still get a chill + mastitis so mid may soon enough for them
