I trailed a lot of Varrieties last year, difference is not worth mentioning
Maincrop are a far better crop if grazing late though , but triple the cost in seed
We sell a mix if 4 varieties then it keeps most happy lol
The biggest improvement would be adding giving them some firlizer rather than choice of Varriety,
Another point that may or may not be of Interest but the Fresh weight weights in January were double that of Rapes and Kales

Seed rate ,I sow @ 1.25 kg acre , but plenty sow at 1kg few sow at 1.5 kg arguing that it covers for pests and nasties

The usual annual battle with flea beetle and slugs is under way here now, 1 field sown 3 weeks ago is taking a battering!
Slugs not often an issues here in Aug thankfully

We got some going in on Monday courtesy of @Derrick Hughes . Think we will put some pellets down the spout with the seed .
