You are right the older telerams the pins were right at the bottom where at the newer ones early 90s onwards have 5 or 6 inches bellow the pinsI might be wrong but I believe that there are a couple of varients in the pin and cone headstock,,,,,,,,,, from the cone to the bottom of the backplate, if you have the bigger one you can have issues getting of the implement
