I wonder what the estate think of their Suzuki Quad truck a year on almost to the day, when it was delivered as per picture

Could be ideal for farmers, at £8000
Half the price of a UTV ;) ;)

Used to have something similar to this on milk rounds Bedford rascal I think they were called not 4 wheel drive but excellent little trucks bit small in the cab though

Looked and asked about the Hijet Kei truck as tested above. Big money for fully specced, but a really neat bit of kit with the extended cab for "larger" Farmer type customers and teh hilift kit and big wheels. Can't be worse surely than a Land Rover for ergonomics internally?

Remake of the fantastic Steyr Puch Haflinger?
I doubt if it will have ‘portal’ axles but perhaps diff-locks front & rear.
FYI Steyr Puch make the bigger Pinzgauer and the amazing Unimog which is of course badged as Mercedes.
The Haflinger was a go-anywhere 4x4 from the sixties and not dissimilar to todays gator, although with superb engineering and was powered by a 600cc air cooled boxer twin over the rear wheels so the weight was nicely balanced up.

Amazing vehicles. I still remember Marshalling on an Enduro event for motorcycles in Mid Wales, about 1990... Saw one of these weird things climbing a bloody hillside that you would not have clambered up without ropes and spiked boots. The guy was a local farmer, into his bikes and used his Haf as a work tool.

Mine was a 1972 SWB model with fibreglass roof and canvas doors with the two pop-up seats in the rear tray.
I had a set of twin-wheels for snow although the tyres were becoming difficult to find by the 90’s.
I had a lot of fun in it but there came a point when, like all good things, spares started to cost a lot of money and its value quadrupled.
It was unstoppable off-road!

The one I had in UK was BSR783C, SWB which I did comp safaris and trials in the early 70s. Then I went to Malawi in 1975 and after a 1956 86" LR and a 1957 Unimog S404 type (army type), a Jeep CJ5, I then was able to get a LWB Haf with cab. In the dry season I got rid of the cab and used it with the open dash. This was in addition to various motor bikes. When I got the BMW R80GS my bike had a bigger engine than my car (Haf) - both flat twins.

Fetching a load of Haf spares from the Mission station in the North of Malawi, the local Haf agent
