Suzuki King Quad Starting Issues

I have a King Quad, that starts absolutely fine when cold, however if I run it for a short while and leave it for 5-10minutes it then will struggle to start again and today it wouldn't fire up and eventually tried to kill the battery....left it 20+ mins came back and it started fine.....any suggestions?

Does it play up when using it or only hard to start when you stop it?

Works fine, only hard to start when it has stopped

Ide try a spark plug first as a simple option, but the only trouble we have had is the fuel pumps, not wanting to start up when they are hot, or low pressure because they have been struggling due to a blocked fuel filter, can you here it priming when you turn the key on when it won’t start?

I'm going to try a new plug and see how that goes and then look at the filters....was also suggested the carburettor could be struggling to get fuel.

If it’s got black wheels it’s fuel injected so has a regulated fuel pump

if you need anything let me know, you can’t buy the filter or the pump separate from Suzuki, you have to buy the whole unit but we keep them both in stock non genuine

The cold start is the hardest to achieve, immediate hot start problem is its too rich mixture.

Did it fix it ? my king quad 400 black wheels 13 plate . just won’t start. Got a spark and fuel looks clean sounds like I can here pump when the ignition is on. Was fine earlier. 3000 miles.
