None yet for us . I just hope the mist netters haven't been too successful over on the continent . We had just one at our other farm earlier , but -- one is one , and ever more shall be so ! .
heaps down our meadows this week darting about, house martins along with them. It always seems to tie in with slurry after a grass cut/ dry cows grazing, must be the flies drawing them in
First pair of swallows were darting in and out of the stables on Friday, and the first of the house martin’s have started building nests at the bedroom windows.
Last year I forgot to leave one ajar so they wouldn’t next in it, which made for some hot summer nights.
no swallows here yet ,plenty of sparrows and a few thrush . just seen a hawk ,no cuckoo plenty of crows etc but seems the magpie population has diminished probably due to our local friend of the earth being re educated !! re the destruction of larsen traps last year
