Just had agri send this through seems to be rather excessive to me considering how dry and clean it is around here think I up set the agronomist by missing t0
Is he just trying to make up for lost earnings or do I not question him and put it on and pay the bill

I've seen worse than that. Please let me know what that lot cost. I've just spent £39/ha including 1 chlormequat (Adjust) and 0.1 Moddus (Alatrin) but in a higher septoria area than you. 0.75 Tracker, 0.5 Adexar, 1 generic CTL

That a pretty heavy hit ! Pressure and conditions must be much harsher (wetter) with you than it is here ? whats it costing you ? serviced looking at the products ?

Quite a standard agrii programs I had it prescribed a few years ago when elatus (ceratavo) first came about.

Id ask him to price the alternatives:

Kantor- swap for any run of the mill wetter/spreader

Ceritavo- swap for elatus era

Danconil- swap for any ctl

Brutus- you don't need that if using elatus as that has prothio in it but will be weaker on rust.

4 yield extra- last time I had some and sent it back,it was about 100 quid for 5lt and when you read the label it contains the best part of bugger all. It could be changed for MN+mgs03

Adjust- swap for ccc

Alitrin evo- swap for modus.

I don't know the crop or your area so I'm not criticising the mix it's more the choice of products which make up the mix. Alitrin evo will be at least twice that of moddus, Kantor although very good is also about 5 times the price of alternatives. 4 yield extra.... how much do you want the circumference of your anus enlarged.

I've been there done that.

How much is the 4 yield extra per litre????

You'd get the same or more from a couple kgs of epso top, 0.6lt of manganese and a cap full of copper all for under £2.
Depends what value you put on humic acids and whether they work as to whether it's worth it.

My t0 and t1 cost nothing except for some home brew foliar feed + ccc + some weed tidy up, crops have no disease ATM, I'd be thinking they are trying to bend you over

That looks like a shocking recommendation given fungicide resistance concerns and can guess which company recommended it. Too my mind it goes against FRAG UK guidelines. Brutus at 0.45 l/ha is a very expensive low rate of Triazole, in fact it's only 15% of full rate, which is a waste of time, especially combined with low rate SDHI. I can't believe they are still recommending such mixes..................

Two SDHI's at T1-not got one planned for T2?

You've said in previous posts your an agronomist and I think from this post you've just nailed your colours to the mast.

What you've said is pretty must word for word the guff I was told. Better formulation, kinder etc but what you didn't mention is although its only required at 75% of "normal" moddus as it's priced atleast twice as expensive as moddus and in some cases three times that of generic trineaxpac it still works out dearer so who's benefiting?????

Oh yer agrii and the agronomist of course and not the farmer.

Good man smart mouth, I didn’t mention anybody benefitting or if it was cheaper or dearer or anything else. It’s a new formulation of the same strength active that as a result requires a lower rate. It’s a good product, that works with plenty of growers to back that up. You can think what you like but make sure you read the post before mouthing off.

I don't think the fungicide element of what you are applying is outrageous there. You are sharing out your sdhi between two brands and adding CTL. The other stuff I don't bother with but the fundamentals of the fungicides there I don't think is terrible for an sdhi x 2 programme.

Its all very well boys on here saying just use an old triazole but from an agronomist point of view its hard to do that without potentially knowing what the future brings. And I say this as a penny pincher
