Once the head has emerged does the flag leaf still have a very strong role to play for the next few weeks?
Yup. Flag is the yield daddy.
Annoyingly, my winter barley has now cost more in fungicide than the wheat. But it looks a better crop with much better BG control from much less herbicide.

Makes me question the need for an sdhi T2 (Ceratavo+). On the other hand, wife expecting a baby on the 15th, so maybe apply it and forget about it, discretion the better part of valour etc!?
