Talex Mowers?

Just don't.

Admittedly the disc mowers look ok and presumably the beds are made by someone else. But the drum mowers are horrible things. It's the panels and tin work that really let them down

Point taken Dave!

My ageing ,but still solid and working well, Claas Unifarm thing, suffers a bit from the odd cracking panel a bit now, but must be 12 years old! Keep on top of pins and keep them tight saves some of the problems...

Morning, we stock and sell a good number of both the Talex Drum and Disc mowers every year.
The Company has been building them since 1996 and we've yet to have a return on one since we've been selling them.
There are some cheap and cheerful brands on the market and Talex do have a version that matches this for purely price sensitive customers, however, they don't even recommend it themselves and we've never sold this version.
You're more than welcome to come and have a look at them in the yard if you wanted or I could PM you photos?

semi-agreed, have their drum mower for 4 seasons now, all that was needed was some touch up paint before using this year. Didn't have a problem with the tin itself and the mower is outside. Work and cut itself is flawless tbh

Saw this a few days ago and was quite intrigued... Cheap, basic underpinnings of a 2 drum mower, and a simple conditioner. Looks a bit fragile, but presume it does work??

Bit closer to home, and I might have had a looksee at the machine. A bit steep on the pricing too :)

I have one knock down about 10acres a year with it, my oul boy bought it, spur of the moment decision. Cuts grass, not to fast, paint work let's it down. Does exactly the same as its competitors.
