Hi
Wonder if anyone can help?
Just bought a tanco autowrap bale wrapper (self loading) and want to get a parts manual and find out what model it is (have serial number)
was told R.C setchfield in grantham were dealers, asked them for a price on a new belt, took them 2 days to get back to me with a nearly £700 quote and when i asked them what model it was he said he didnt know,he just put the serial number in their computer :banghead:
thanks in advance

That’s a fairly early one,mid nineties I expect. That belt takes a hammering but £700 is a bit steep,I used to get the Kevlar one for mine which is stronger but it would still break. The film dispenser is obsolete now but there is a company that make a better steel one.

I had one similar and it was a 400,did have a cut and tie(of sorts) to hold the wrap which yours doesnt seem to have.

your right,no cut and tie, have googled pics of them to try and identify but no joy yet, can't seem to find a number for tanco themselves or a dealer and can't find any site that you can put the serial number in to find out

I doubt you'll find any info at all. They've been obsolete for many years.
If it's got a the belt on it, best thing to do is drop it off with local beating shop and get it matched up.

If you contact Tanco they will definitely help. I’ve always found them good like that. There a company making belts here in Ireland that would send them over I’ve used him for few different wrappers they are a lot stronger than original. redbelt ltd

Has anyone a tanco A100EH recently bought one anf find that it needs more weight to lift our bales onto the table. Nice wrapper though as easier to load wrap onto than the mchale 991 but if there isnt an easy way to add counter weight then we might have to go back to the 991 after we get the loading arm rebushed.

The tanco wrapper I used had a sliding stub axle. You lifted the wrapper with the loading arm, pulled a pin out and slid the axle out. Made a fair difference.

Dont think this has that but never thought to look. I had to buy in a panic and liked the lower level of this for the ease of user and thought being wider it would be more stable but seems not. this is a yellow model from 2013 I think but has only 13000 bales

I had an early tanco wrapper, that had a sliding axle.Didn’t have any other good points,in fact I think there was a lawsuit from disgruntled owners in the end.
New 991s have angled wrap holders, much easier to load wrap.
