I've seen 2 types of these, one that hooks to the toplink with pads to stabilize the bottom links , and another that hooks to the bottom links and has a top link also ,
Have both these types got advantages /disadvantages ?
Thanks

If you just want it for moving stuff around the yard then you need the hook at the top and flat pads at the bottom.

If you want to invert a cultivator vertically for example to work on then it needs to be the fully fixed version.

I've got the first one and it really is the handiest tool you'll buy. Especially with a decent drawbar attachment which a lot don't seem to have. Shunting trailers round the yard with handler is a doddle.

If your fussy about scratching paint work then the ones with the pads will pull paint off the lower link brackets. I don’t move my fert spreader with mine for this reason.

Talk to Agriweld they make the original one and as an option can do rubber covered pads on the bottom. Go to most dealers and cambridge and york sales and they all have them. They come as standard with the removable clevis which as you say is brilliant you can put trailers where you can't put them with a tractor.

I have one myself but also store spare stock etc for agriweld and have some in my shed if you need one in a hurry.

So want one of these. I had often pondered building one and then I saw the real thing at Lamma, but balked at the cost... Still want one! Trailer jaw/hook essential!
The one Dave W made also has a fold up crainage hook which is invuluable. so useful being able to lift a gate up and swivel it around. Think Taylor Attacments make a half decent one and Mark Taylor is good to work with

we have talyor made one very good used a lot as we buy and sell machinery dose both can connect to link arms with balls and top link or just pick up with pads that go in place of balls and hook up under top link pin not cheap about £ £ 1500 but well worth it
