They only hang from one pin on a digger ,could you make a bracket to slide over a pallet tines

That's a point , old lifting jib and then you could lift and lower it instead of using the main boom

We bought a cheap used auger off ebay and mounted it on the frame from an old shear grab to go on our loader tractor. You can soon make a frame for it or modify a cheap bale spike/knackered implement to suit. The auger will pull itself into the ground so no need to push down too hard but the famework needs to be firm enough to take the huge torque. Hydraulic borers are awesome tools

We converted a pto drive tractor type one to hydraulic drive. Mount's on 360 excavator and has a bit of box section to slide on pallet fork so can go on telehandler
