Anybody used one on a telehandler
Like a Lucas raptor g or telehawk
Looking at options to speed up bedding calf house having just increased its size by 50 %
Pens at 90 degrees to central passage
Or should I not even think of using a straw blower with young calves
Thanks

Last sentence spot on. As our cattle have generally got younger over the years we use ours less and less to the point where I’ll be selling mine soon. IMO from experience nothing under six months should be bedded with a blower, asking for niggling troubles their immature lungs can’t cope with the daily exposure to the dust, also the cumulative effect can’t be good

They stop blowing where the trailed pto ones start , they are not handier than spb you can’t see fudge all fir the rotor can’t see what the bale is doing or where your going , just my personal findings.

Can they throw it 20 feet?

Using a spread a bale at the minute and find poking it over the feed rail a pain in the chuff, be far better to drive along the feed barrier and throw it into the shed at 90 degrees.

No need to see the bale as can see what is happening in the pen easy enough. Wonder what they are like to load from the shed.

Trailed PTO machine is a non-starter as you need another tractor and you need a loader to load it anyway. Telehandler needs to do the lot.

It clearly doesn't blow as far as the pto version.. This vid may answer some of your questions.

does that have a separate control box on cab for bed/spout/blower functions?
No idea, I guess it must have something, what with the 4 extra functions to do. I'd be more concerned about the weight, I've a mounted version and its boss of a 100hp tractor even with a full set of weights...

I think that this conversion by @Monty could be suitable as less torque would spread better without stuffing the eaves so much.? Round bale straw chopper spreader thingy. Visibility wouldn’t matter too much as it goes everywhere.? Maybe with modifications since his last post the machine is less wild now??
