This was covered on a thread not so long ago I think.

There accuracy depends on the machine, they tend not to work too well on manitous and makes that use the same style of lock out valves Manitou do. I think they will work a bit better on a JCB how ever due to the way the lock out valve operates.

They are expensive too.

ours is hopeless... on a manitou 627, it can vary by 100kg or more sometimes. cost approx £1500 a couple years ago.

However, a customer of ours has the same setup on a jcb 526 i think, and its far more accurate.

In my experience with weighers on shovels in stores and quarries etc, is they are notoriously inaccurate.

I have a RDS alpha10 weigh load on a new jcb 526 which seems to be working very well. The older unit on a 2012 jcb did not work very well due to over complicated hydraulic systems. I think they are well over 2 grand now fitted.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
