I don't know how many people are like me .. I don't want to "Work" as an environmentalist. If I did I would have joined the EA.
Even if you did the EA would be the wrong choice....they don’t do work.

In the west, we have a plethora of “natural capital” how can you ensure that under Elms, this actually has monetary value? At the moment it feels like areas with no natural capital and massive fields are using stewardship schemes to make their areas look more like ours and are eligible for payment to get the same environmental results we already have.

or agent/advisor!! That's the big £/hr.
And many of the ELMS trials are being undertaken by these "Advisors". I wonder what their priorities for their trials really are?And with a proposed 70,000 'advisors' this is going to be a significant proportion of the pot! Even more significant is the fact that there are only 85,000 potential claimants!
I’d love to know how Elms will come anywhere near replacing BPS , and how would a tenant farmer like myself , afford to do it without BPS and with rent to pay, if it’s only income foregone .
Can you sort that LINK out i cant get it too play ball even removing all the --- at start & end??According to person designing the scheme, It won't come close to replacing BPS. Still not clear how they will square the circle given funding pot meant to be the same all of this parliament. Answer seems partly with productivity grants. Apparently it'll be at levels above income forgone. Not sure how overall finances stack up myself. Govt position is productivity improvements will save the day (and maybe they're assuming rent falls). I found this a very useful watch:

And massage their over inflated egosNatural england have one goal and that is to increase their own income! unfortunately those at the top cant see it.
I can only see one future and that is a lot less food produced in this country. If say some of these big estates put hundreds or thousands of acres down. It’s amazing how much of these unproductive areas of land will add to overall production nationwide. You would like to think that lower production would lead to higher farm gate but imports will probably take care of that.
