Thank-you TFF Farm Classifieds

your message will have gone to their email

if they choose to ignore you that’s up to them

...... or tell me their name and I will go round and knock their door as part of the FREE service

If sellers are not serious and do not reply to buyers, this may result in potential buyers ignoring your classifieds section in the longterm?

Maybe make it compulsory for all buyers to add at least one contact number? I think 99% of folk who are serious about selling a product would have no issues with buyers actually contacting them.

Just a thought, I am not trying to tell you how to operate your business.

Thanks for the feedback, it’s an ever evolving process, even if all the contact details were there some people still choose not to respond to enquires. For clarity Derricks complaint isn’t even about Classifieds, it’s in reference to a Thread on TFF.

Sorry dont understand . It was an advert in general for sale under £350 . Is that not Classified. Please dont mention who it is . I dont want to be causing arguments or embarrassment,
And yes as said I am guilty myself of not replying to PMs

It falls under Classifieds on the TFF, but it's a thread, just like any go the other discussion threads on the forum, it allows users to post items under £350. It doesn't fall under the same requirements of listing an item on https://www.classifieds.farm, where there is a requirement to provide contact details. The machinery for sale - Private listings /Dealer listings are taken off the Classifieds Website, a link within the individual listing will take you back to the listing on https://www.classifieds.farm which should contain contact details. Hope that clears it up.

I personally would not allowy comments on adverts . There was a issue with comments on another forum . Deliberate wind ups . Comments were then banned
We get the same issue on facebook . You place an advert and some clown post .its £10 cheaper at Wynstay. When you know damn well it's not
As I'm sure you are well aware we do moderate posts, to be fair its something we've considered doing and just having a link back to Farm Classifieds, but we share a lot of content on our social media pages, so you stop in one forum and it appears somewhere else.

Morning, the threads on TFF are taken directly form listings on https://www.classifieds.farm/
To edit a listing you have to log onto the classifieds website and logo into your account. Hope that helps.
Thank you for explaining, however I logged on and edited my classified listing with new pictures and lower price but it hasn’t changed on private listings or posted a new classified ad.

Folks post a lot of stuff on the under £350 in the main Forum (to be fair over time some folks found it complicated logging in under another system although they are both on common logins now)

No one would ever want to buy anything from me once I'm done with it
However, I've bought stuff off it, and it was very good. Even something quite big that I dithered over for a year before ringing up and buying it! (And it was still there, slowly accumulating comments)
