So are we all buying the new fastrac then!!
Imagine price will be up a fair bit! Hopefuly get a cheap 2170 to replace my old 1135. They're is nothing wrong with current models, just seem to have got a bad reputation. Simple change the cab and new styling and everyone thinks they ll try them again.
Not sure about the speed issue. I might be wrong but as far as I understand the smaller Fastracs are limited to lower speeds (compared to the 3000 series) due to forward opening doors and hydro only steering. Obviously everybody ignores all these limits anyway so can't see any minor increase in speed limits making a difference?
It must have been the new fastrac that I saw last week, all covered in black plastic on a truck, looked very much like a small xerionIs it just me or does it look like a Xerion?
which gearbox are you on about ?The gearbox was the biggest downfall if the price is right they will sell.

I'd say it looks more like a doppsttat which was bought of another tractor manufacture not sure if still making themIs it just me or does it look like a Xerion?

I'm guessing he means the current 2170's Eaton box
Yes the eaton and the crappy pre select reverse.
Have to agree with you there. Good for roadwork and 3 splits adequate for field work. That new one looks the don thoughObviously got no patience!! The eaton gearbox was a dream to drive if you could drive it right, as long as you don't rush the gears then it's fine, much preferred my manual box to the electric shite that replaced it!!

If you look at the Newark picture thread halfway down20 odd years on after the mb trac ceased production and jcb are still trying to get it right!!
Could say the same about all manufactures.20 odd years on after the mb trac ceased production and jcb are still trying to get it right!!
