Shame because a stretched version would make a great demount for sprayers and spreaders yet still be a capable tractor for field work and haulage

I see no reason why a stretched version won't be made by a 3rd party, sanctioned by JCB, as the 2100 series is now.

I recall lots of folk saying that they'd like Claas to produce a smaller version of the Xerion. Well here it is. But with suspension all round as a bonus and "made in Britain" on the side. What's not to like?

Big demount on the back and a big tank on the front coupled with 60k and 4ws is going to give a small SP a run for its money. I think the hydraulic suspension could be a game changer - it's definitely the way forward on big trailers just horrifically expensive. Potential to be a white elephant if we're all going to need a class 1 to drive over 40k though although I sincerely hope that's not where we're heading.

Stu: I've liked the idea of a baby Xerion for a long time. A more nimble 'tool carrier' which could carry a slurry tank on its back and run reverse drive mowers. The 4000 misses out on that bit although I'm not sure they'd get away with it anyway.

Landquip make a 2500l demount for the standard sized Fastrac. A 1500l front tank gives a capacity of 4000l. Chap at Landquip told me that a Fastrac with a front tank was as good as it gets in wet conditions if you need to keep moving. This new model looks to have much bigger wheel options with obvious flotation benefits. 4ws and a CVT box seem to make it the perfect spraying tractor to me.

Not sure about the speed issue. I might be wrong but as far as I understand the smaller Fastracs are limited to lower speeds (compared to the 3000 series) due to forward opening doors and hydro only steering. Obviously everybody ignores all these limits anyway so can't see any minor increase in speed limits making a difference?
