Just the spring beans to do. I'm ready for them for once.
A harvest blighted by ergot and rejections. Prolonged by the damp but dry august.
Spring barley was probably the most straight forward and profitable.
All a knock on effect from the wet winter.
But we are cracking on to catch up and hopefully will get winter barley drilled end of next week. OSR looks OK as well. So maybe we are getting back on track after two years of cack.

Finally finished the sp barley tonight so all white straw crops done and dusted other than some straw to bale and gather hopefully before it rains . Considering on the 20th of august we had 5-6 days combining left its been a struggle with the mizle and dank without many consecetive sunny days .Just beans to get sometime hopefully before bonfire night and the osr looks like it will survive the beetles plus weve got a bit of wheat in on the osr stubble ,overall cant whinge about the yield other than a drowned in the early spring some w.barley

If he's got them booked on to woldgrain, the moisture wont be overly important at 2t/AC, compared with getting them cut and gone.
Presumably beans will keep happily 17/18% with pedestals and blowers for a couple weeks?

All my crops are going into neighbours store this year. He has had bumper harvest as there is no tipping room at mo
