Cows coming off grass with the dry weather?
Yeah too many worn out thin milkers being offloaded. Schools etc start back demand will increase. Talk that a fair few dairy units will be short of feed for winter so could be alot of culls sold oct/nov which will cause abit of a glut when barren sucklers will also be cashed

Just had a guy wanting to buy cattle and he reckons that store cattle prices are going to start dropping faster than a brides nightie on her honeymoon? Anyone else think this?
No, where are all the 450+kg cattle for the ever increasing ever expanding feeding units? Corns dropped/dropping so more will want to walk it off the farm.

Kids going back to school beef usually hardens. Barbecue season often sees higher demand for processing beef but less demand for steaks and joints. It should go up only worry is it’s a lot cheaper in Ireland at the moment

Funny that, price in Ireland was well ahead of here for a while. I think a lot of cattle are killed off grass in the backend over there. Wouldn't have thought drought would be a issue?

Not sure what it is. They were talking of reduced demand being the issue and are doing promotions on beef to get it moving with a modest price rise expected.
