One of the fences I've renewed this winter

Creo strainers, class 4 treated 75x75 stobs, 8/80/22 ht.

Using wire knots to join and tie off might be slower, but I'm pleased with how it looks. The net is pulled to the middle and much tighter than previous fences I've put up where they're hard stapled to the strainer and end pulled.
Good effort but not to upset you, your knots arnt quite right. The top knot in green wire is right but on the others you have come over, out of the loop with the wire and not gone back under. Get Daimien to show you again. Other wise it looks good.

Enough of these fancy pictures, time for some real world fencing.
Firstly straighten out a bucketful of bent, rusty nails. Removed when fencing replaced with new to keep Glastir happy, but far too good to throw away......

Next roughly bang a softwood post in at each end of the run to fence up. No need to strut it as it won't move far in hard ground, not before it rots off anyway. Take some old netting wire, rolled up from the above mentioned Glastir jobs, and stretch it between the strainers with the fencing pliers. Not too much or it'll break, just 'tightish' will do......

Push a couple of stakes in with the Merlo bucket and use a handful of those recycled staples to attach. Only needs a couple of new stakes, as there's a couple of rotten gate posts somewhere near the line already. Handy really.:)

Not sure if my knots are quite as tidy as the ones pictured previosuly, but bugger it, they'll hold it for now.

I don't know why you lot spend so long faffing about tbh.

If my Missus saw those old posts @neilo, She'd want them dug in to her garden. I recently brought her some ancient oak posts with the holes drilled through which took the plain wires. It was better than giving her roses for Valentine's day (y)

When's her birthday? I'm sure we could come to an agreement on the price.....:) I'll even throw in that half round fencing stake and length of barb wire that's holding the far one upright.(y)
