Interesting to note that we have not had a single Flu death so far this year and barely any cases relatively speaking.
Isn't that just week 7? I ask because in week 6 on the ons:

Of the 4,262 deaths that involved Influenza and Pneumonia, 296 had this recorded as the underlying cause of death (6.9%).

Back at the factory....... back on the numbers....hectic day!!

Cases are well down, inpatients are down to 220 or so but a larger percentage of them are very poorly
75,469 people in Leicestershire have tested positive - up from 75,229 (increase 170).
33,997 (increase of 66) were within the Leicester City Council area.
41,472 (increase of 104) cases were reported in the County.

UHL reported 11 death's.
The death's occurred on the following days, 28th January (1), 16th February (1), 18th February (1), 19th February (2), 20th February (1), 21st February (1), 22nd February (2), 23rd February (1), and 27th February (1).

Total number of UHL death's stands at 1348.

34,064 (increase of 67) were within the Leicester City Council area.
41,561 (increase of 89) cases were reported in the County.
UHL reported 8 death's.
The death's occurred on the following days, 19th February (1), 21st February (1), 24th February (1),
26th February (1), 27th February (2), and 28th February (1).
Total number of UHL death's stands at 1356.

Down to 200 positive inpatients although best part of 50 of them are in ITU/ECMO and many from elsewhere in the UK.

Light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter.... kids back to school next week, that might have a knock on effect.
