The positive thread

I'm shamelessly bumping my own thread because after just reading through the agricultural matters section I feel just like I did when I first posted.
Fortunately I've just read a summary of meat sales for the last 3 years. This shows despite the loud delusional shouting of a group of people with an eating disorder (vegans) or a personality disorder (Chris Packham and his shower of acolytes) the reality is quite different.

The bullet points

In December 2021 there was a rise of 1% in red meat sales over 2020 which was in itself a record retail performance. When compared to 2019 sales were up 3%

During December 98% of households bought meat, fish or poultry

Lamb sales increased in both 2020 and 2021

Beef sales grew compared to 2019

99% of households bought a dairy product with sales volumes 5% up on 2019

Good news I would have thought!

I found a spanner that I had thought lost, and just before I was going to buy a replacement for it. :)

Not happened before, usually I buy a new whatever, then immediately find the original bloody thing.
I lost a hammer in the middle of a field, then the following year I found it when I had to catch a ewe that was having trouble lambing! And it was a free hammer as well (when I worked on Russian Tractors, they didn't use to give the tool kit with the tractors, so I had a couple of the hammers!).

What do you need a hammer for in the middle of a field...
