IIRC at one general election first past the post got the SNP approx 50 MP’s whilst UKIP who got 3 times the total number of votes only got one.
It would seem first past post can work very well for SNP.
Exactly right.
PR is actually bad for the Snp just now, but it is s much fairer system all round.
Fptp just gives extremes.

I know you dont like technical details, but under first past the post, the snp would have even more seats, as their large majority of scottish mps at Westminster shows.
which would probably be the preferred method of a majority of the electorate - as I recall we had a referendum on introducing a similar system to that in Scotland into the whole of the UK - the result was pretty clear

Nothing like our system of STV in scotland
We only have STV for local elections - not Holyrood. Wrap it up any way you like - the UK electorate were asked to approve a PR system - and said no thanks, including the scottish electorate

The uk electorate cant be trusted with a vote, they believe the pure crap that the gutter press serve up to them daily,ffs, they voted to blow both feet off with brexit.
