The shame of the English

1965. You would think it was yesterday the anger that's still about
So how long before forgiveness?
Keeping in mind that most English that are around today were not even born then let alone had a hand in flooding a village
How long before you stop blaming the English
Did you have any influence over what your granddad done years before you were born?
If you want to blame the English could you name the ones that were really to blame ?
Who was in charge, who made the decision?
Cos I for one don't remember having anything to do with it and the fact I wasn't born seemingly means feck all to some

When England play Wales, who are you supporting Derrick?

Off topic, and idle curiosity really, but why do you (quite often) refer to people by another name than that under which they are known on the forum? I have not seen anybody refer to you by your given name, you are simply known as the mate of a Czechoslovakian lady.

A few folk who know me in real life (as opposed to this pretend one) call me by my real name, on here. It’s not unusual, I see it all over the forum.
Oh, and I am sure you’re geography/history are adequate to know there has been no Czechoslovakia for many years.
FYI, (in case you don’t know) 1st January 1993.

What puzzles me is the animosity shown by hotheads towards the English in Ireland, Scotland and Wales as they spit blood and fury at what they consider their past and repressive colonial masters, yet at the same time they all want to immerse themselves ever deeper in the great European empire that is demonstrably less democratic and representative than the UK! They need to get their act together and try some of this thinking lark.
