Veganism makes no sense, you don't save an animal by stopping it exsisting, they seam to hate animals, blaming all the worlds ills on them (climate change etc)

75% of UK agricultural land is livestock oriented, but that's because much of that land isn't suited to arable practices & even if we accept lower yields and higher costs, that would result in large areas being turned into arable mono-cultures that require the use of chemicals and artificial fertilisers in order to sustain production and destroy the carbon sink of permanent pasture...

That 75% is used to wrong foot waverers, and link dastardly livestock farming and livestock farmers to perception of greed and injustice towards our budding vegan urban hero who just needs a little push. The promised land has no livestock farming. Remove the middle animal is the aim. All that spare land is there to rewild...
Let's not forget the political conclusions drawn by Poore, which is now a vegan "gospel".

Watching the current M&S advert for Veganuary they show that vegan food is not dull, they fly in exotic ingredients from all over the world for your delectation. Is somebody missing the point here ?

I suppose the ethical vegan dilemma is, if your child/parent/spouse was dying, would you keep them alive at the cost of an animal?
A raft of wild vegans would find less support if they were blockading hearts to keep folk alive.

Is there such a need to get in such a froth about them , they will still need farm produce whatever they choose to eat , that's a question and an observation, not an opinion , just so I don't get shot at dawn for even thinking it ,

I thought the BBC had more or less given up their obvious livestock bashing (although the lower level drip-drip continues). Two or three years ago they seemed to squeeze a spurious pro-vegan/anti livestock story into every bunch of news headlines.
