Seems like a good article in guardian by Patrick Holden saying if Goldsmith college want to save the environment they should eat more beef not less.

I can see why they've done it in one way, as they have a lot of Hindu and Muslim players, so that's corn beef rolls and pork pies out. The chairman is a vegan himself and has pushed them down that route.
The major issue until then is not the numbers of people as such, but the ratio of oldies verses younger ones of taxpaying age. The cost of pensions and healthcare for the oldies. Not just in the UK but everywhere.
