This is a thread for people that like dewalt tools not the red stuff. I have always got on ok with dewalt tools and if I have a problem I have always been looked after be a local tool shop and dewalt Uk.

Good thread - i have dewalt as well so makes sense to stick to one make - is the big dewalt impact wrench as good as the red one ????????????????? £10 cheaper at £389 at screwfix.

I have a couple of 18v Dewalt drills and they have loads of power , good batteries but the chucks will not stay tight and hold on to drill bits . Now using the red ones and it’s not bean a problem.

I often find that after fitting a drill bit, apparently tightly, the keyless chuck will take an extra half turn after a few seconds. Only got DW stuff now, so don't know if this applies to other makes ?

All DEWALT here, do have the issue with the drill chucks, but only in hammer. I do have the big impact gun and get on well with it. Looking to add the grease gun to the collection for harvest. 🤞

We had this problem with a couple of our Dewalt drills. I replaced the chucks with new ones from Screwfix. They are better than the ones that came with the drills.

Staple gun works well, it is quite heavy so a challenge to use one handed.
Batteries need to be fully charged also, it gives up at much below 50%......staples (40mm) are @ £45/thousand.

Overall it's the go to device...even for a quick repair job..
