Daughter wanted to "borrow" the Kenwood, so I dug it out of hibernation and plugged it in. Worked perfectly. I inherited it from my mother - it was made in 1961. Bet a lot of modern ones would not have worked! Quite chuffed!
Likewise! My daughter now has the one my granny got sometime in the sixties, and it was secondhand then! Works just fine. Our mum's one dates merely from the eighties and my brother in singapore has it - working away fine in almost permanent 29degC heat.
