The brand new Sipma Huzar round baler supplied by @smcapstick makes me smile.

How people laughed when we told them we had ordered a Polish round baler advertised on eBay and we didn't even go to see it, though we had dealt with him before.

But they aren't laughing now. It's well built and finished and goes a treat now it's had a few commissioning tweaks and we have mastered the driving technique. A simple, easy to understand reliable machine with a handy controller with screens in English and at less than the price of a knackered secondhand one of a more familiar make.

S M Capstick may rant about his customers but he does a straight and honest deal.

(That'll be 10% off the next purchase I hope (y);))

Happy Birthday to my dear friend Anne Bell who got me started with my Galloways and sold me two foundation cows and who celebrates her 80th Birthday today. Last week as Registrations Secretary for the Riggit Galloway Cattle Society she went with 4 other representatives to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party for all HRH Prince of Wales's Patrongaes

A wonderful start to a celebration weekend and before she heads off to the World Galloway Congress in Australia

A very plucky Lady

After getting my little tractor stuck in the marsh this morning, the neighbours kindly lent me the biggest tractor I've ever sat on (a huge John Deere) to pull it out, and sent me off after a 5 minute tutorial.
Only then did I discover that my chains had been pikied, but the bailiff from the estate sped off and returned 5 minutes later with a huge war surplus tank chain, and within about 5 seconds my tractor was sitting happily on the dry ground again. The borrowed one pulled it straight out without even noticing it was there.
So smiles all round for everyones' kindness, and that moment when despair turns to joy and you know you are back in action again.
Extra smiles for the discovery that the John Deere was so big, its wing mirrors ended up flush against the doors going along the narrow track so I was trapped inside until a fisherman saved me.
