I decided to stick with what I know to simplify things. Too much extra complication & cost, running another flock that needed to be managed very differently. Life's too short.

However, every time I check the dry hoggs I look at the Beltex shearling ewes and feel an urge.

To make up numbers we bought some mv acc Highlanders in lamb to one of your Beltex tups, lambs easily born outside, as you say fairly slow growing but cannot but smile looking at the shape of the lambs
