This Farming Life

Why aren't you in the lambing shed?

Come to think of it why aren't I in the lambing shed?

Maybe he has wifi in the caravan. [emoji23]

It's a brilliant show. All we talk about here at the moment.

We can all be critical. But none of the families featured appear to be showing off so I don't think they deserve to be dragged down in public after putting themselves out like this.

Would be different if they were showing off. Same goes for on TFF as far as I'm considered.

@farnermartin With Jumbo did you find with him being so big ot took him a while to really get growing and going???
We had a large bull calve few year back (70+kg) and he sort of stalled in growth at 3 weeks for a few months then took off again!

Great show tho and even learning some things ie cold bucket on them once calved!

A great breathing stimulator, makes them gasp. But best to make for certain that their airways are cleared first otherwise it can do harm!

there is a whole lot of things i don't understand about farming one is why is there a weight limit on fat lambs i have never seen a lamb chop thats to big surely its the fat cover that matters with the Shetland sheep it's all about cost they are small so when transport and other costs are taken off there's nowt left perhaps better marketing of a niche product is needed as the chap on the isles is doing
the weight limit is so they can steal some free meat off you.

Congratulations, don't forget to pass on all the well wishing of others to Mel (don't keep them to yourself).
So when is the biggest calving experience of your life due?[/QUOTE
