Threads on Facebook

Do you share the suicide, depression thread with Facebook and the rest of the world too? Some people share some very personal information there.

It might be the world wide Web but you like to make on its a "community"when it suits you.

All the threads in here are public - don't share personal info if you are not comfortable with other people seeing it

TFF is a community but it's not a private site

I am not sure where this is going, or where it was intended to go when the thread was started.

But I am sure it comes as no surprise to most, that it is not just TFF who shares links from here to other social media channels, many members do it, not just with their own posts or threads, but with others they find interesting or controversial, links on the web are just that, open for the world to share, surely no one is so naive as to think what they post is private and only for viewing within TFF.

Are there not privacy settings on Facebook so you can choose who sees what?

Do you choose who gets to see TFF members posts?

You choose by deciding what you want in the public domain and what you don't

TFF is a public website, nothing on here other than private messages are private

I post what I'm happy for people to see. It's not a false impression of me......just the better bits :cautious: Believe me, I can swear like a navvy, I get angry at things, I can sulk and be p*ssed off with the world, but I don't really want you lot to see that
If I've posted it on the Internet, I know it's fair game.
Likewise with Facebook. I think my privacy settings are fairly shut down, but even 'liking' something flags up on people's time line, so I'm very aware that even though something that may be very un-PC makes me laugh, the likelihood is that my mother in law or one of Eulb's aunts will see it if I like it.....so I don't :)
